Sikorsky Challenge Ukraine Joins Tech4Good Initiative to Empower Innovation and Energy Resilience in Ukraine.

The All-Ukrainian Innovation Ecosystem, Sikorsky Challenge Ukraine proudly announces its collaboration with Tech4Good, a private initiative led by independent experts from the tech, energy, public, and government relations sectors. United under a shared mission of fostering innovation for global good, the initiative is committed to addressing Ukraine's critical challenges through #Tech4Good and #Tech4Humanity approaches.
As part of the Tech4Good Global Challenge #1: Energy for Ukraine, this partnership is focused on advancing energy resilience and sustainability in Ukraine. The competition, held at the end of 2024, sought innovative solutions to tackle Ukraine’s energy challenges, drawing responses from 75 startups, SMEs, and innovators worldwide.
For the implementation phase of Tech4Good Global Challenge #1, Sikorsky Challenge Ukraine has formed a working group of accomplished professionals, including:
- Inna Maliukova, Co-Founder and Head of Sikorsky Challenge Ukraine.
- Serhii Serhiienko, Deputy Director of the Innovation Holding Sikorsky Challenge, driving business coordination efforts.
- Oksana Dybkina, Innovation and Investment Manager at DTEK with 20+ years of experience in the energy area, renowned for her leadership in corporate innovation.
- Emanuele Volpe, a seasoned executive with over 25 years of expertise in open innovation and startup ecosystems, having launched 62 pilot projects leading to 14 scaleups globally.
- Emmanuel Lowe, Senior Advisor and Business Mentor at EBRD, and Global VP at Amptricity, negotiating high-profile contracts and factory launches in Europe.
- Tatiana Skydan, a PR/GR and communications expert with 20+ years of experience in media and broadcasting, event management, and global tech ecosystem outreach.

The partnership underscores the vision of Sikorsky Challenge Ukraine: to be a model and driver of high-tech innovative development for Ukraine's economy.
Upcoming Initiatives Include:
- Fundraising: Engaging donors, venture capitalists, and corporate sponsors to financially support selected startups.
- Implementation: Streamlining regulatory processes and deploying innovative energy technologies in Ukraine.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Working closely with the Embassy of Ukraine in Spain to ensure impactful outcomes and publishing a catalog of selected innovations for global engagement. Posting selected solutions on the Sikorsky Challenge Immersive virtual platform.
Winter Deployment and Future Expansion
The Tech4Good team is actively working on securing funding for these technologies and facilitating their deployment in Ukraine this winter. This effort aims to address immediate energy challenges while paving the way for their application in other regions affected by conflicts or natural disasters.
